Role Overview
The Growth Marketing Creative Strategist will be a hybrid hands-on + strategic role pivotal in shaping how we conceptualize, test, and scale creative across paid social, videos, static ads, landing pages, and web experiences. You’ll lead creative experimentation, build audience personas and funnels, write testable hypotheses, and partner with internal teams and freelancers to bring winning creative to life.
This person should have 4–5+ years of experience in creative strategy for DTC brands — especially in wellness, CPG, or e-commerce — with deep fluency in best-in-class paid social, landing page CRO, and direct-response principles.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Strategy & Testing
- Lead the development of high-performing creative concepts and direct response messaging frameworks.
- Build and manage a structured creative testing roadmap — from hypothesis → measurement → iteration → scale.
- Analyze performance data to drive insights, trends, and next test ideas.
- Keep playbooks updated with hooks, formats, pacing, angle frameworks, and messaging by audience and funnel stage.
Briefing & Production
- Write clear, actionable creative briefs for internal designers, editors, and external creators.
- Define best-performing creative guidelines for paid social (Meta, TikTok, YouTube), landing pages, and website assets.
- Collaborate closely with creators to ensure delivery matches strategic intent.
- Partner with production teams to maintain quality while moving at speed.
Landing Page & UX Optimization
- Collaborate with CRO or product teams on landing page strategy, messaging hierarchy, and test plans.
- Interpret on-page analytics to improve conversion rates and reduce friction in funnels.
Persona & Funnel Architect
- Build customer personas using quantitative and qualitative insights.
- Map creative messaging to funnel stages (awareness → consideration → conversion → retention).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a creative partner to performance media, analytics, brand, and product teams.
- Translate customer and performance insights into cohesive creative playbooks.
Reporting & Learning
- Own weekly learning recaps, creative performance dashboards, and recommendations.
- Present test learnings and scaling plans to leadership.
Qualifications
Experience
- 4–7+ years experience in creative strategy, growth marketing, or performance creative roles at DTC/e-commerce brands — preferably wellness or CPG.
- Proven track record of developing data-backed creative concepts that drive measurable performance across paid channels.
Skills
- Exceptional understanding of paid social creative best practices (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Shorts, Reels).
- Strong analytical mindset — able to derive insights from data (CTR, CVR, CPA, ROAS) and translate them into creative decisions.
- Excellent storytelling, copywriting, and messaging skills tailored to direct response.
- Demonstrated ability to brief, manage, and critique creative deliverables.
- Experience building personas, funnels, and messaging frameworks.
- Solid knowledge of landing page optimization and UX fundamentals.
Technical
- Comfortable working in Google Sheets/Looker/Ads Managers or equivalent reporting tools.
- Familiarity with Figma, Canva, Photoshop, Premiere, CapCut is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Bias toward action and fast iteration in a performance-driven environment.
- Strong communicator and collaborator.
- Comfort managing ambiguity and shifting priorities.
Nice-to-Haves (but not required)
- Experience with CRM/lifecycle tools (e.g., Klaviyo, HubSpot).
- Exposure to emerging channels (CTV, programmatic, audience segmentation tools).
- Background in landing page experimentation tools
- Ability to prototype scripts or light edits.
