About the role
Core Areas of Responsibility
- Lead the technical implementation of key RCM initiatives including automated eligibility verification, expanded service support and flexible pricing.
- Own critical RCM operations including benefits resolution, claim processing, direct charging, and bill management.
- Coordinate billing requirements and dependencies across functional teams including Product, Operations and Finance.
- Deliver improved analytics and observability ensuring integrity of billing activity.
- Develop advanced tooling and automation to improve accuracy, reduce manual work and scale RCM operations.
Impact and Success Indicators
Where you’ll make an impact in the first 90 days:
- Onboard to technical surface area including codebase, data stores and user applications.
- Bring fresh ideas and suggestions for improvements to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Deliver critical enhancements to the billing and benefits ecosystem ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Participate in sprint planning, standups, and retrospective meetings. Helping spec out scope and technical details.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful changes to the application while actively participating in shaping team practices and processes.
Where you’ll make an impact in the first year:
- Assume ownership and delivery of large technical projects that provide meaningful improvements to the bill system..
- Take on a technical leadership role, mentoring junior developers, and driving architecture and technical planning decisions.
- Play a key role in architecture, design, code reviews, and testing, providing guidance and support to elevate the team's technical excellence.
- Translate product ideas and specifications into actionable work and scope.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Tenured experience working in a startup environment (think ownership, agility, and innovation).
- Self-motivation and a self-starting attitude.
- Experience working with our stack (React/Typescript,, Python/Django) or similar.
- Experience with containerized environments (Docker or otherwise), Kubernetes, or similar is a plus.
- Strong backend and database experience for SaaS applications.
- Low ego and strong orientation to cross-functional work and stakeholder collaboration.
- 5-6+ years of engineering experience owning projects and building scalable products.
Compensation & Benefits
The offer range is dependent on qualifications and experience. New hires can reasonably expect an offer between $183,000 and $200,000. The full salary range for this full-time, exempt role is $183,000 - $248,000.
