About the role
We are seeking a talented and driven Senior Growth Engineer to join our Welcome Team. This role is perfect for an engineer with proven experience in growth, who is passionate about leveraging technology to optimize user acquisition, activation, and retention in a meaningful way. You will be instrumental in building the systems and services that power our onboarding journeys for both clients seeking care and clinicians joining our network.
As a member of the Welcome Team, you’ll help shape the first interaction users have with Two Chairs. Our team builds the foundational infrastructure and seamless experiences that introduce new users to our platform. Your work will directly impact the first impression our customers have, ensuring they feel supported, understood, and connected from day one. The Welcome Team is a crucial part of our growth engine, continuously optimizing pathways to care and ensuring our platform scales to meet increasing demand.
Core Areas of Responsibility
- Growth Experimentation: Implement, monitor, and iterate on A/B tests and other experiments to validate hypotheses related to user behavior and funnel optimization, using data to inform product decisions.
- Optimize Onboarding Journeys: Drive technical initiatives to enhance the client and clinician onboarding funnels, identifying friction points and implementing solutions to improve conversion, activation, and time-to-value.
- Customer Delight: Build and maintain user-facing features and backend services that create a delightful and intuitive first impression for clients and clinicians interacting with Two Chairs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists, and other Engineering teams to translate user insights and business goals into technical solutions.
- System Ownership: Take ownership of key components within the Welcome Team's domain, contributing to architectural discussions, code reviews, and maintaining high standards of code quality and operational excellence.
- Build for Scale: Maintain a mindset for scale as you evolve experiments and build and maintain robust, scalable systems and services that can handle significant user growth, ensuring a smooth and reliable onboarding experience as Two Chairs expands.
Impact and Success Indicators
We’re looking for someone with:
- 3-7 years of professional software engineering experience, with a significant portion focused on growth engineering, user acquisition, or product-led growth initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining scalable systems and services in a production environment.
- Proficiency in Python, Node.js, Ruby, Go and React, Javascript.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL.
- Strong understanding of A/B testing methodologies, data instrumentation, and analytics to drive product iteration.
- Ability to translate complex user problems and business objectives into clear, actionable technical requirements and solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
- A collaborative spirit and strong communication skills, comfortable working within a cross-functional team.
- Passion for improving mental healthcare and aligning with Two Chairs' mission.
- Bonus: Experience working in a healthcare or highly regulated environment.
- Bonus: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Compensation & Benefits
The offer range is dependent on qualifications and experience. New hires can reasonably expect an offer between $155,000 and $180,000. The full salary range for this full-time, exempt role is $155,000 - $210,000.
