About the Job

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Accounting, you will work closely with the accounting core GL team and assist with the financial close process. The Associate Accountant will collaborate with various stakeholders and partner cross-functionally to provide accurate financial data.

The US-based salary range for this position is 80,000 to 100,000 USD. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary- therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

What You’ll Do

  • Record daily cash transactions and assist in monthly bank reconciliations (record bank activities to NetSuite).
  • Support Senior Accountants and collaborate with cross-functional business leaders to prepare and complete monthly departmental accruals. Be able to understand accrual concepts and perform research as needed.
  • Prepare journal entries for core GL activities (i.e. expense/adjustment reclasses) to support month-end close activities
  • Assist in maintaining prepaid schedules in reviewing agreements/contracts and resolve any discrepancies. Ensure accuracy of AP invoice including the period in which it is booked in, double checking when payment was made, and identify amortization schedules
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations to support schedules. Assist team to complete recons at the respective due dates for review.
  • Research in flux variances between budget vs actuals with assigned GL accounts to prepare for BvA meetings
  • Work closely with team to analyze financial statements including Balance Sheet and Income Statements
  • Support and participate in quarterly and annual audits (internal and external)
  • Partner with cross functional teams on an ongoing basis to support business processes
  • Be able to comply with company policy and adhere to sox requirements & internal controls
  • Assist management in general corporate accounting matters and ad-hoc projects or requests
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies within

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ year of accounting experience, preferably in technology (SaaS industry)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Proficient in Excel, G-Suite, NetSuite preferred, FloQast a plus
  • Proven experience of full cycle accounts payable and purchase order process
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and auditing skills with the ability to research and reconcile
  • Self-motivated starter and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Understand when to escalate issues & concerns and able to ask for guidance
  • Ability to prioritize workload with strong organization skills and being detailed oriented
  • Be able to problem solve and think outside of the box
  • Team player and the ability to work collaboratively across different functions
