About the Role:

You will lead Pacaso’s market operations for Southern California, comprised of frontline Home Management and Maintenance teams; to ensure the success of your region and sub-markets by building a scalable model, maximizing profitability, and delivering a world-class owner experience.

What you will do:

  • Build vision and strategy for your SoCal in support of overarching company goals; own regional KPIs related to profitability and owner experience
  • Manage regional P&L, including alignment with Finance on forecasting targets; lead initiatives to drive down costs, increase revenue, and optimize regional performance
  • Hire and manage the best, and develop a regional team culture focused on owner experience and incredible execution; set the bar high while building trust, communication, and partnership across your team
  • Partner with Acquisitions, Sales, and Operations to develop regional growth strategy that considers market-specific nuances, including supply potential, policy considerations, and operating factors
  • Partner with Sr Director of Operations to oversee onboarding of new properties; ensure on-budget, on-time, and on-brand delivery
  • Work closely with cross-functional leaders, including Design and Procurement, Accounting, Finance, Acquisitions, Sales, Marketing, and Legal to align on shared goals and execute in lock-step
  • Build strong relationships with third party vendors, developers, community entities, and other external parties to ensure successful operating partnerships and build Pacaso’s brand
  • Partner with other Regional Directors to conduct pilots, identify best practices, develop playbooks, and scale what works
  • Act with agility to diagnose systemic operational issues as well as day-to-day challenges; build and implement solutions and support team through ambiguity and rapid change


About you

  • Deep experience in hospitality, service-driven property management, operations, or related fields; MBA and/or experience scaling an operationally complex business preferred
  • Strong background in property financials, and creation and management of annual budgets; experience working in property management or accounting software preferred
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to set vision while managing day-today execution
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships to drive towards shared goals
  • Proven track record of leading, managing, and developing high-performing teams
  • Exceptional organizational skills, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in environments with high levels of ambiguity and shifting priorities; you can operate autonomously in a specific region while leveraging central resources and supports effectively
  • Tech-savvy and/or motivated to adopt new and emerging technologies; experience working in a startup environment preferred
  • Customer-centric mindset and approach to developing strategy; you lead with user needs
  • Creative problem solver; you find innovative solutions to systemic challenges and aren’t afraid to pilot, iterate, and test assumptions
  • Strong analytical skills; you take a data-driven approach to decision-making and consensus building
  • Team player with a can-do, will-do attitude; flexibility in scheduling required, as this role will regularly work weekends
  • Currently reside in or willing to relocate to (Region); ability and willingness to travel frequently throughout your region
