We are a house of brands focused on disrupting consumer industries through biotechnology-backed products built by our in-house research lab. We are actively incubating new technologies in the immune, inflammation, and consumer health spaces. Our first brand (pacagen.com) helps with allergies to pets and dust that >70K customers use in our second year on the market. Our second brand (getreyou.com) launched in July and tackles the root causes of female hair thinning using AI-discovered molecules.

We are a venture-funded startup and founded by experienced entrepreneurs who have built and sold nine-figure businesses before. We are seeking a proactive and highly motivated individual to join our efforts in developing technologies that could solve big pain points and make people’s lives much better. As a scientist, you’ll work with our team to develop the core technologies underpinning our future products. You’ll directly work with our co-founders and our scientists to push the frontiers of consumer health. This role is for someone who actively enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while taking on larger responsibilities within a fast-growing organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead development of consumer-focused assets (including small molecules, large molecules, proteins, etc.).
• Own a zero-to-one initiative to developing new biological assays and complex biological models (including human tissue samples)
• Perform screening studies of potential assets through biological assays.
• Drive hit-to-lead and lead optimization efforts of potential assets.
• Keep up with state-of-the-art research in human health and and wellness.
• Keep detailed notes and protocols in a fast-paced environment.
• Continuously iterate with the team on results, challenges, and solutions in a growing business landscape.

Requirements:

• PhD in biology, bioengineering, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or related field.
• Extensive 5+ year experience with mammalian cell culture, high-throughput screening, and molecular biology tools (RNAseq, proteomics, LC/MS).
• Experience translating new discoveries into engineered solutions.
• Can multitask and adhere to deadlines.
• Can communicate clearly and concisely.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Doesn’t take good enough for an answer - constantly trying to improve themselves to help their team win.
