The Role
We’re looking for a talented Filmmaker who loves YouTube and wants to be a part of building the Moment channel. Filmmaking has changed a lot over the years and we’re looking for someone beyond a camera operator who brings a love for testing gear, being on camera, and producing incredible content. Ideally, you’re already producing great content for the internet and are looking to expand your skill set beyond short form to commercial and editorial forms of content.

We are looking for someone with raw creative talent who is fun on camera, hustles, and demonstrates a passion for developing their craft. We combine your passion with our years of learning in how to make great content for YouTube. Beyond teaching you our process, filmmakers at Moment are empowered to generate new ideas, publish them, and learn directly from our community of 2M creatives.

What You Will Be Doing

• Making great content and being an active member of the Moment YouTube Channel.
• Generating interesting content ideas, the ones that answer what creators are searching for
• Engaging the Moment Community across all of our channels, especially YouTube.
• Turning ideas into pre-production plans, such as storyboards, shot lists, and shoot details.
• Shooting, editing, and producing content for YouTube with Moment & Sunny Sixteen
• Beyond YouTube, making platform native content for Twitter, IG, & Tik Tok.
• Discovering, pitching, and collaborating with external creators.
• Being an active part of the filmmaker community online and offline
• Working with partners and brands on custom campaign content.
• Tracking results for the content published and picking up insights for how we can improve.

You'll Need These Qualifications

• Direct experience producing, shooting, editing, and publishing gear-focused content.
• Being comfortable on camera, bringing your own personality to your content. Not everything we do will be on camera, but it does help to be practiced at it.
• Love reviewing gear with the ability to humanize what matters to viewers.
• Having a YouTube channel is a big plus.
• Experience at a content publication or content-heavy brand is preferred.
• A relatively fast editor or a willingness to improve at it. Filmmakers at Moment edit their own content and being efficient is important. This also means being proficient in DaVinci Resolve and/or Premiere.
• Well-versed in motion graphics and animation is a huge plus.
• Organized, hard-working, and diligent.
• Ideally an active member of online filmmaking communities. The content is better when you’re producing it for an audience you understand.
