Madison Reed’s Hair Color Bar Managers are entrepreneurial leaders who deliver exceptional client experiences, while inspiring, recognizing and motivating their teams. As the Madison Reed Hair Color Bar Manager, you will be responsible for establishing the roadmap of success for your respective Hair Color Bar within Madison Reed operational best practices and guidelines.

What you’ll do:

  • Mentor, train, motivate, and develop team members to deliver exceptional hospitality, the highest level of client satisfaction, Hair Color Bar sales performance, and a best-in-class workplace culture.
  • Manage team member schedules, labor, and hours budgets based on forecasts, trends and business needs.
  • Deliver a hospitable client experience resulting in positive feedback and future client engagement with the Hair Color Bar and Madison Reed brand.
  • Perform tasks across all Hair Color Bar roles including Client Service Specialist, Assistant Colorist, Colorist, and Shift Lead in order to maintain an efficient and seamless operational flow.
  • Recruit and interview candidates, onboard new team members, and perform milestone performance evaluations while implementing a successful plan to engage, develop and retain talent within the Hair Color Bar.
  • Listen to, resolve, and follow up on all Hair Color Bar client service issues in a timely manner, including client survey comments (NPS) and client satisfaction surveys (CSAT).
  • Responsible for ensuring the Hair Color Bar is meeting/exceeding Madison Reed presentation and operational standards, including but not limited to retail and sales area displays, signage and planogram execution, inventory, and state board hygiene standards.
  • Ensure the security and proper maintenance of all company tools and equipment such as Madison Reed retail products, mobile devices, computer systems, security cameras and phones.
  • Utilize all Madison Reed technology and tools to deliver Hair Color Bar retail and service sales goals including maximizing service capacity, reducing digital waitlist, increasing average order value and product with service targets, and buy online pick up in store (BOPIS).
  • Recommend appropriate hair color, care, and services to clients leading to achieving and exceeding clients’ expectations and Hair Color Bar sales goals.
  • Exhibit a positive and collaborative approach across all interactions with clients, team members, vendors, and guests.
  • Display a strong desire to invest in ongoing professional development and growth within Madison Reed.

Who you are:

  • Must possess an active cosmetology license in good standing within the state where employment will take place.
  • 2+ years of salon operations and people management experience is required.
  • Outstanding hospitality, communication, problem solving and teamwork skills required.
  • Ability to multitask in a high energy, fast paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Computer skills and POS (Point of Sale) system experience are desired.
  • Display a strong desire to invest in ongoing professional development and growth within Madison Reed.
  • High technical proficiency, demonstrable understanding of hair fundamentals key operational performance metrics.
  • Willing to work an average of 45 hours each week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, team members will regularly stand/walk for four consecutive hours or more at a time; regularly bend and twist at the waist, perform continuous repetitive movement with fingers, hands, wrists and arms, reach with hands and arms, speak, see, hear, and lift/move up to 10 pounds. May on occasion sit, kneel, stoop, crouch, and lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds.
