The Role
As an Area Sales Manager (ASM), you’ll lead a team of Field Sales Managers and oversee distributor partnerships across your assigned territory. Your mission: drive sales growth, expand Lucky Energy’s footprint, and ensure flawless execution at retail through strong leadership and relationship management. You’ll spend your time coaching and motivating your team, managing distributor performance, and building key retail partnerships—all while keeping Lucky Energy front and center in the marketplace.


Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Field Sales Managers to deliver against sales targets and KPIs.

  • Train FSMs on retail execution, sales fundamentals, and distributor engagement.

  • Ride along with team members to provide real-time feedback and strengthen performance.

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop top-tier sales talent.

Distributor Management

  • Own relationships with DSD distributor leadership and ensure Lucky Energy is a top priority.

  • Drive accountability for order flow, new account openings, and retail execution.

  • Align distributor priorities with Lucky Energy’s goals and incentives.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly to keep product moving seamlessly through the system.

Retail Execution & Growth

  • Partner with FSMs and distributors to secure new placements and expand Lucky Energy’s shelf presence.

  • Negotiate for high-visibility placement: coolers, endcaps, displays, and secondary locations.

  • Build relationships with key retailers and regional account managers to unlock new opportunities.

  • Support large-format and chain execution within your territory.

Sales Reporting & Strategy

  • Track sales performance, depletion trends, and retail execution across your area.

  • Share insights and recommendations with Sales Directors to guide strategy.

  • Use data and field feedback to adjust tactics and maximize territory performance.

  • Keep a pulse on competitive activity and market dynamics.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing to activate campaigns, events, and sampling programs in your area.

  • Work with operations and supply chain to ensure distributors and retailers have what they need.

  • Serve as the bridge between field, distributor, and headquarters teams—making sure information flows both ways.
