About the Role

As a Staff Accountant at Landing, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining the financial foundation of a fast-growing startup in the hospitality and real estate space. You’ll work closely with our Operations, Finance, and Accounting teams to manage both core accounting functions and project-based financial tracking.

This role goes beyond traditional accounting — you’ll help streamline processes, enhance reporting systems, and drive process automation as we scale. If you’re looking to combine hands-on accounting work with project accounting and strategic problem-solving, this is your opportunity to grow with a company that’s redefining modern living.

About the Team

Landing’s Accounting team is a collaborative, high-performing group that thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. We value precision, accountability, and innovation — using smart systems and strong processes to ensure compliance while driving business success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Manage project accounting processes — tracking budgets, costs, and revenue for active projects.
  • Review and analyze P&L and balance sheet data, ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance.
  • Oversee partner payouts and revenue share calculations with consistency and precision.
  • Develop and enhance financial reporting tools and support automation initiatives.
  • Conduct internal audits and validation checks to maintain data integrity.
  • Collaborate across Finance, Operations, and Leadership to support financial strategy and insights.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus).
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, including project accounting or cost accounting exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
