Sales Lead

As Sales Lead, you’ll fill Goodbill’s first dedicated sales role, responsible for building relationships, driving revenue, and setting the playbook for how we go to market.
This role is for someone resourceful and proactive: a builder who rolls up their sleeves, brings fresh ideas, and thrives in fast-changing environments. You’re a self-starter who moves quickly, creates opportunities rather than waiting for them, and engages clients with authenticity and warmth over transactional tactics. You’re comfortable operating under ambiguity with a constantly evolving product, and excited to help shape how Goodbill grows.
You will:
- **Build and expand our market presence.**Proactively source new opportunities across benefits advisors, plans, third-party administrators (TPAs), and other healthcare partners. Nurture and convert inbound leads into clients and long-term relationships. Represent and showcase Goodbill at industry events and conferences (travel ~20–25%).
- **Drive strategic, solution-based sales.**Use a consultative selling approach to understand client needs and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deals. Align closely with Marketing to move prospects through the funnel. Leverage sales tools — including custom reports, demos, and decks — to convert leads. Partner with Client Success to ensure new clients are handed off smoothly and set up for long-term satisfaction.
- **Translate insights into better solutions.**Share insights from client and prospect conversations to shape strategy. Partner with Marketing, Client Success, and Product to evolve our assets and solutions. Surface new ideas for outreach, tools, and campaigns to help us win more business.
- **Own pipeline management and reporting.**Keep the CRM accurate and organized, ensuring excellent sales hygiene and strong pipeline visibility. Report regularly on pipeline health, conversion rates, and performance against goals.
You are:
- Proven. 8–10+ years selling B2B / SaaS. You’ve carried a number and hit it.
- Consultative. You see patterns fast, ask incisive questions, and frame value in the client’s language from a problem-first perspective.
- Momentum-obsessed. You've navigated multi-stakeholder deals before and know how to keep every critical party moving in the right direction. You're not afraid to get on the phone immediately or send that text to ensure alignment and keep deals on track.
- Entrepreneurial. You’ve founded something, led sales, or meaningfully driven revenue for early to mid-stage company. You thrive in ambiguity and create clarity.
- A strong communicator. You can translate the technical details of software, claims flows, and the industry into clear, compelling value props for clients.
- Mission-driven. You care deeply about making healthcare transparent, affordable, and fair.
- Impatient for outcomes, pragmatic about tradeoffs. You push hard for client value but align to strategy.
Bonus
- You’ve led sales at a B2B SaaS or health-tech company.
- You’ve been a founder or early-stage leader (pre-seed/seed/Series A).
- You’ve taken a company from founder-led sales and grown the sales process and machinery from the ground up.
- You’ve worked in healthcare (payer, provider, TPA) or other complex enterprise contexts.
