Free Agency is on a mission to empower people to reach the highest levels of their career potential. We work with talent to break the information and process asymmetries holding them back from doing more, making more, and being more. We’ve raised over $15M from world-class investors like Maveron, Resolute Ventures, Bloomberg Beta, Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman’s Thirty Five Ventures, Palm Tree Crew, and more.

Free Agency brings Hollywood-style career management to knowledge workers, starting with the tech industry. We provide concierge services and digital products to help people find incredible jobs, make more money, and become high-performing leaders. Unlike solutions in recruiting, we’re entirely paid by the talent we work with, which enables us to provide them with dedicated Talent Agents to manage “the business end” of their career. Talent success becomes our success.

To date, we’ve helped hundreds of professionals negotiate over $340 million in offers, and work with talent building the cutting-edge future in the startup and tech industry.

About the job:

We’re looking to bring on intern and entry-level video editors with a great instinct and existing familiarity with either DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro. You should have raw talent and a desire to learn, absorb quick feedback, and become a stellar editor over time.

You’ll work closely with our CEO, who himself can edit, and has a strong desire to train future video editors to be great. This is an excellent opportunity for someone hungry for dedicated coaching and looking to build their portfolio.

We're a startup with a bunch of FX3 cameras, an FX6, and all the audio + lighting goodies to go with it.

You'll be working with more "calm" style podcast edits and more "trend" style caption/cut/graphics edits, depending on the account, and we have a high attention to detail across the board. The content is both zeitgeist tech (think venture, startups, discussions of tech news) and career (think interview prep, senior level leadership, salary negotiation).

The internship will last for 2 to 3 months before you will be considered being brought on as a part-time or full-time video editor moving forward, based on performance + growth. Of course, this role is friendly to students who need to return to school work in the fall/spring.
