Job Description

The Opportunity:

We, at Flywire, are seeking an experienced Director, Global People Partner to support our next chapter of growth! This role will be both strategic and hands-on, improving organizational effectiveness and design, leading change management, providing leadership coaching, and driving excellence throughout our organization. Specifically, you will partner with our Product, Global Payments and Education Business business teams and leaders and Flymates throughout the planning and execution of FlyMate (employee) programs, tying them back to business strategy and planning. You will also be a key member of the Global People Partner leadership which entails the development of key people processes and programs in collaboration with the People Team, which includes employee relations, internal communications, culture, organizational change, operations, and compensation. A successful candidate will connect with FlyMates at all levels, possess excellent communication skills, a strong business acumen, and be excited to collaborate with FlyMates across the World!

  • Function as a business partner with leadership teams to develop and execute critical business and organizational strategies.
  • Build relationships with business leaders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution
  • Provide strategic partnership and mentorship to employees and people managers at all levels to positively impact the development, motivation, and retention of talent.
  • Ensure policies, practices, and programs are administered in an equitable and consistent manner across geographies
  • Development and delivery of an effective communication strategy to improve the intent and execution of business results
  • Lead the development and execution of talent management processes such as quarterly and annual performance and talent reviews, succession planning, and engagement exercises in partnership with business leadership and the broader People team.
  • Review and analyze business metrics including data on retention and FlyMate experience in order to recommend systemic improvements
  • Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions, and job re-leveling
  • Work with business groups to assess, create, and implement, innovative solutions for a variety of employee engagement initiatives within the client group.
  • Establishes, builds and maintains positive relationships with key People Team partners to ensure elements of HR are successfully coordinated to meet business needs; includes relationship management, leadership, HR roles & responsibilities, and service delivery commitments

Qualifications

Here’s What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of 8 years in a leadership position in Human Resources and/or Business Partner Function.
  • Ability to utilize HR metrics and analytics to partner with business leaders.
  • Strong experience in performance management and people strategy.
  • Prior experience with benefits, compensation structures, and visa documentation
  • Demonstrated success in both corporate and high-growth organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to show excellent judgment, training/coaching, and creative problem-solving.
  • Well-developed managerial style, with a strong emphasis on team-building and teamwork.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Solid understanding of HR practices, policies, and U.S. employment law.
  • Demonstrated achievements in coaching, influencing, and problem solving
  • Bachelor’s degree in an HR-related field and/or HR certification preferred.
