Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager, MarTech

Course Hero is scaling! We are hiring an experienced Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager, MarTech to join our fast-paced and forward-thinking lifecycle marketing team. In this role you’ll be given the responsibility of defining data and infrastructure needs to evolve our marketing tech stack, oversee the end-to-end execution of all operational communications, and serve as the technical subject matter expert for our marketing platform (Braze). The perfect fit for this role is a highly technical marketer with a customer-centric approach and an ability to work with a variety of stakeholders to drive customer engagement and retention.
Here are some ways you'll make an impact:
- Partner with engineering and the broader growth marketing team to identify and implement features (e.g. automatic login links, recommendations) and data flows (e.g. API events, customer attribute library) to support lifecycle marketing initiatives
- Establish foundational infrastructure for expansion into new marketing channels such as web push, SMS, or in-app notifications
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, creative teams, and engineers to develop scalable multi-channel operational and marketing campaigns using html, css, liquid, responsive modular templates, and other tools
- Plan and develop lifecycle marketing strategies and user flows to engage, convert, and retain users
- Manage and prioritize engineering requests across the growth marketing team leveraging agile project management tools (e.g. Jira)
- Serve as a technical leader and resource for the growth marketing team, helping others learn and grow
- Build and maintain process documentation, establish best practices, and improve production efficiency
- Partner with the analytics team to build dashboards, plan and analyze experiments, and uncover new user insights for lifecycle marketing programs
- Work closely with growth marketing leadership to define OKRs, contribute to annual and quarterly plans, and suggest and implement growth initiatives
- Analyze results, determine benchmarks, and provide regular performance updates in order to assess business impact and make recommendations
- Stay abreast of the latest marketing trends and tools, sharing any findings on where best-in-class marketing teams have found success
Are you our next Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager, MarTech?
- Earned a BA/BS/BE degree or an MBA
- Ability to work 4+ hours daily on the Pacific Time Zone
- 7+ years of relevant work experience including working with an enterprise-level CRM platform (Braze experience preferred)
- Knowledge of the Martech landscape and an ability to learn new systems quickly
- Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS, including mobile-responsive templates and experience with a scripting language (Liquid, AMPScript, Free Marker, etc.)
- Strong understanding of data concepts (APIs, JSON, ETLs, etc.)
- Depth of experience with email marketing and crafting user journeys
- Passionate about building scalable solutions that drive long-term impact
- Highly communicative, diligent, having strong time management and organizational skills, and an ability to work with a sense of urgency
- Self-starter who’s also comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment
Bonus Points:
- Strong understanding of Braze
- Proficient with SQL
- Hand-on experience and familiarity with the responsibilities of a scrum master
- Experience standing-up new marketing channels at high-growth companies
- Familiar with measurement tools like AppsFlyer, Google Analytics, and Amplitude
- Experience developing localized campaigns leveraging third-party integrations (Crowdin, Lokalise, Smartling, etc.)
- Previous experience in a technical consultant or solution architect role, or a degree in computer science, web development, or a related field
