Job Description Chariot is a charitable payments company that's revolutionizing the philanthropic financial system. We believe more money needs to move to nonprofits faster so we are building tools that activate more philanthropic dollars and transform nonprofit operations to be more efficient. We're looking for top talent to join our mission driven team in changing the financial landscape of philanthropy.
We are currently backed by Y Combinator, Spark Capital, SV Angel, and top-tier angel investors like Mike Massaro, Adam Grant, and Angela Duckworth. Our team is made up of passionate and talented individuals with prior work experience at Blackrock, Bain, Goldman Sachs, Palantir, and Forage (YC21).
We are entering an exciting phase of growth moving hundreds of million dollars per month and expanding our team to bring tens of thousands of nonprofits onboard while expanding our product capabilities to solve even deeper problems for the nonprofit sector. Mitigating risk is essential to that growth; this seat is where it ultimately lives.

Stand up a proactive monitoring and mitigation cadence across the risk surfaceBring first-principles, systems-level thinking to how we identify, prioritize, and close risk gapsBuild on and formalize existing interim risk and compliance coverage rather than duplicating itStrategic
Sit at the leadership table: brief leadership regularly on the top risks facing the business, prioritized from first principles, each with a mitigation planPartner with Product and Engineering so new features ship with risk accounted for, without slowing velocityAbout You
5+ years in risk, fraud, trust & safety, or a related operating role, ideally at a fintech, payments, or marketplace companyFirst-principles and systems thinker with genuine technical and product depthDetail oriented with excellent written/verbal communication skillsProactive with strong people skills and ability to influence internal and Engineering/Product stakeholdersComfortable working collaboratively in a fast-moving, cross-functional team environmentTeam player with an ownership mindset and an eagerness to take on more work whenever possibleRelentlessly curious about how our product and technology work, with a proactive instinct to map out everything that could go wrongPay Transparency
Range: $200,000-$250,000 + Equity Upside.
