What We're About

At BrewBird, we believe in building a sustainable future in coffee. We’re developing a technology platform to scale the $100 billion specialty coffee market, while working with top local and national roasters to bring the highest quality cup of coffee to every home and office. BrewBird is backed by some of the world’s best venture funds. We’re a passionate team of builders who use technology to craft elegant and delightful solutions to challenging real world problems. Come drink some coffee with us!

The Role

You'll be our first marketing hire, responsible for designing and executing campaigns that get our coffee machine in front of the right people—literally. Our core insight: physical product demos convert at incredibly high rates. Your job is to creatively drive demo opportunities at scale, on a lean budget.
This isn't a "build awareness and see what happens in Q4" role. This is: design a campaign on Monday, launch it Wednesday, analyze results Friday, and iterate the following Monday. We're looking for someone who treats marketing like rapid product development—high creativity, fast cycles, data-informed iteration.

What You'll Own

  • Campaign Strategy & Execution: Design and run integrated marketing campaigns across digital and physical channels (guerrilla marketing, partnerships, events, digital ads, direct outreach, creative stunts—whatever works)
  • Demo Pipeline Generation: Your north star metric is qualified demo requests. Everything you do should ladder up to getting decision-makers to experience the product
  • Channel Management: Own our social media presence, content strategy, and emerging channel experiments (you'll be hands-on keyboard for much of this)
  • Growth Experimentation: Run rapid tests across channels and tactics, document learnings, double down on what works
  • Data & Iteration: Track campaign performance rigorously, build feedback loops that inform next iterations within days (not quarters)

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves

  • 4-7 years of marketing experience, ideally with physical products (consumer or B2B)
  • Portfolio of creative campaigns that you conceived and executed—we want to see examples of campaigns that were surprising, scrappy, or went viral
  • Bias toward action: You've shipped campaigns in weeks, not months. You have war stories about rapid iteration cycles
  • Strategic rigor meets creative chaos: You can brainstorm 20 wild ideas in an hour, then systematically test the most promising 3 with clear success metrics
  • Data orientation: You instrument everything, you review dashboards regularly, and you kill underperforming campaigns quickly
  • Physical + digital fluency: You understand how to drive online traffic to offline experiences and vice versa
  • Startup velocity: You thrive in environments where the plan changes, resources are constrained, and scrappiness wins

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience marketing physical products that require demos or trials
  • Examples of campaigns that achieved outsized results on limited budgets
  • B2B marketing experience (our customers are offices, hospitality, co-working spaces)
  • Comfort being hands-on with execution (running social accounts, designing simple graphics, writing copy)

Not a Fit If You

  • Need long iteration cycles or quarter-long testing windows to feel confident
  • Focus primarily on community building or brand affinity without clear conversion metrics
  • Prefer to strategize and delegate rather than roll up sleeves
  • Think "viral" is luck rather than the result of creative insight + strategic distribution

Day-to-Day Reality

  • Week 1: You might design a guerrilla campaign targeting downtown offices, draft 2 weeks of social content, and set up tracking for a new landing page
  • Week 4: You're analyzing which channels drove the most demo requests, spinning down what flopped, and pitching 3 new experiments to the CEO
  • Month 3: You've found 2-3 repeatable playbooks for demo generation and are scaling them while testing wilder swings in parallel
  • You'll work directly with the CEO initially. You won't have a team right away, but as you find what works, we'll hire support around your successful playbooks.

What Success Looks Like

  • 30 days: You've shipped your first 3 campaign experiments and have clear data on performance
  • 60 days: You've identified 1-2 repeatable channels driving qualified demo requests
  • 90 days: Demo pipeline has measurably accelerated, and you have a clear roadmap of what to scale vs. test next
  • 6 months: You're a key driver of our sales targets and have potentially built a small team around proven tactics
