What You'll Be Working On

The Warehouse/Production & Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day warehouse, production, and fulfillment operations. This person will manage people and processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and quality while supporting our rapid growth. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, balances tactical execution with strategic planning, and has strong experience in production planning and supply chain management.
This role will be based in the company’s manufacturing warehouse, located in San Carlos, CA. The expected base salary range for this role is between $100,000 and $115,000 per year.
Role Type: Mid-career, manager (4–7 years in production, warehouse, fulfillment, or planning roles. 2–3 years of people management experience.)

Core Responsibilities 🛠️

  • People Management: Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of warehouse/production associates, including performance management and training.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory counts, oversee cycle counts, and ensure FIFO (first-in, first-out) practices are consistently applied.
  • Production Planning & Forecasting: Develop and execute production schedules, forecast demand, and align resources to meet customer needs.
  • Logistics & Supply Chain: Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, vendor relations, and fulfillment to ensure on-time and cost-effective operations.
  • Scheduling: Build efficient shift schedules (including split-shifts when needed) and optimize labor allocation.
  • Database Management: Utilize systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, OrderTime (or similar) for inventory, production, and fulfillment tracking.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify process bottlenecks, implement SOPs, and drive operational efficiency.

Desired Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of people management experience.
  • 4–7 years in production, warehouse, fulfillment, or planning roles.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, forecasting, and FIFO best practices.
  • Experience with production planning, logistics/supply chain, and scheduling.
  • Proficiency with database management systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, OrderTime, or similar).
  • Coffee industry experience (preferred, not required).
  • Mechanically inclined with ability to support basic equipment maintenance.
  • Experience managing split-shifts or 24/7 operations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs occasionally, and work safely around production equipment and warehouse traffic.
