What You'll Be Working On
The Field Service Technician is a key team member within our support and customer-facing organizations. We are looking for an experienced professional who is technologically savvy and interested in contributing to a variety of activities on a given day. The main priority for this role is the service and installation of our coffee machines in the field. This role will support the growth of our business through customer interface by ensuring that coffee brewers at customer sites are setup and working properly. The technician will execute on preventative maintenance schedules and be deployed to customer locations for reactive maintenance issues. The technician will be the key party to ensure a quick response and accurate diagnosis to then remedy the issue and get the unit back up and running.
This role will be based between the company's office in San Carlos, warehouse in Belmont and various customer sites across the Bay Area. You must be comfortable and qualified to travel via vehicle (van provided by Brewbird) most days of the week.
Your day to day will be:
Installation & Delivery
- Deliver and install BrewBird coffee machines at customer sites
- Set up and configure brewers, ensuring proper connectivity and performance
- Safely operate and drive the BrewBird service van for daily routes
Maintenance & Repair
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal brewer performance
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues
- Maintain accurate service logs via company-issued tablet or phone
Customer Support & Experience
- Provide world-class customer service during every onsite visit
- Educate customers on machine use, cleaning, and best practices
- Support the sales team with product demos, on-site events, and special installations
Tools & Technology
- Use drills, hand tools, and repair equipment safely and effectively
- Operate BrewBird’s internal service software on laptop, tablet, or phone
- Follow safety protocols when handling equipment and tools
- Able to deliver and service product with a clean driving record and active driver’s license
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools
- Clean driving record and ability to operate a company service van
- Professional communication skills and a customer-first mindset
- Ability to lift and maneuver equipment (up to ~50 lbs)
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently
- Prior field service, delivery, or technical support experience
- Experience with basic plumbing—especially John Guest push-to-connect fittings
- Background or interest in the coffee industry (equipment, service, barista work, etc.)

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $26 – $28 per hour.
