Job Summary

The Senior Vice President, Technology Innovation and Transformation inspires and drives continuous improvement and innovation in how technology is used to drive business value. This role is responsible for defining and executing the technology strategy, including successfully implementing transformation initiatives and fostering strong partnerships both within and outside Technology. Additionally, this role drives internal technological innovation that will enable growth and drive better customer experience.


Essential Job Functions
  • Lead the organization through the initial Technology transformation with a data-driven approach, and subsequently drive ongoing continuous improvement - (50%)
  • Facilitate transformation and continuous improvement through a "transform while performing" model, supporting the team in learning as they work. Adapt the organization and its methods as the product evolves. - (20%)
  • Motivate and involve the organization to ignite our collective curiosity in exploring, innovating, designing, and prototyping new digital business models through a digital labs capability. - (10%)
  • Create and sustain a flexible technology strategy that keeps the organization attuned to future technologies and leverages them to drive business innovation and growth. Curate continual learning opportunities for the team. - (5%)
  • Offer thought leadership, competitive analysis, and market research to help Bread Financial reimagine the business model using the jobs-to-be-done framework and design thinking practices. - (5%)
  • Represent Bread Financial as a brand ambassador at events like Money 2020, showcasing our tech-forward approach. Build a team of Sales Solution Engineers to support the sales cycle, leveraging our tech-forward capabilities to excel in Integration Agility, Embedded Finance, enhancing clients’ digital experiences, etc. - (5%)
  • Partner with Product leadership and cross-functional teams to explore adjacent business opportunities and identify M&A candidates that can drive business value and growth. - (5%)

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Business or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • 18+ Years Direct experience in building and leading teams to drive digital transformations and develop adaptive business strategies.
  • 15+ years Direct leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • 20+ years Direct experience in building and leading teams to drive digital transformations and develop adaptive business strategies.

Work Environment
  • Normal office environment. As a senior leader, must work at a Bread Financial office a minimum of 6 days per month. Ability to travel 6 days a month if not located near a Bread Financial office.

Typical Starting Range:

$263,900.00 - $584,200.00

Full Salary Range for position:

California: $303,400.00 - $730,200.00

Colorado: $263,900.00 - $613,400.00

New York: $290,300.00 - $730,200.00

Washington: $277,100.00 - $671,800.00

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.

All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.

Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
