Today’s world can be intense and stressful, and it’s taking an unprecedented toll on kids, teens, and families. Bend Health’s collaborative care model relies on an evidence-based approach to help families manage the ups and downs of everyday life. These challenges could involve managing emotions, challenging negative thinking, and reducing stress and anxiety.

We are looking for a full-time, Credentialing Specialist passionate about whole-person, whole-family mental health care to join our team. This position reports to the SVP of Revenue Cycle Management.

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain individual provider files to include up to date information needed to complete the required governmental and commercial payer credentialing applications
  • Maintain internal provider databases to ensure all information is accurate and logins are available
  • Update each provider’s CAQH database file timely according to the schedule published by CMS
  • Apply for and renew annually all provider licenses; Professional, DEA, Controlled Substance
  • Complete revalidation requests issued by government payers
  • Complete credentialing applications to add providers to commercial payers, Medicare, and Medicaid
  • Complete re-credentialing applications for commercial payers
  • Work closely with the billing staff to identify and resolve any denials or authorization issues related to provider credentialing
  • Maintain accurate provider profiles on CAQH, PECOS, NPPES, and CMS databases
  • Communicate with interdisciplinary teams on status of credentialing and needs to get work completed
  • Other duties as assigned

Who you are:

  • A great people person that is willing to work collaboratively with multiple departments and vendors
  • Extremely detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Educational background and certifications in healthcare and billing and/or credentialing required
  • 2 years healthcare experience preferably in billing, credentialing or comparable department
  • Database management experience preferred
  • Experience using project management tools preferred

The pay for United States residents is $20-$27/hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Bend Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
