General
The Director II, Strategic Finance position will work closely with leaders across the business functions, along with senior management and executives to drive change across Allbirds. This position will be responsible for driving the long range planning process, including strategy and goal development, and should be able to assess gaps in the business. They will work cross-functionally to develop a solution and drive towards successful completion.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to drive growth and operational improvements in the business
- Drive the Long Range Planning (LRP) process to assess and set Allbird’s core strategies for 3-5 years and align resources and investments to achieve these goals
- Source, evaluate and execute new business opportunities and support key-decision making with analytical rigor
- Partner with stakeholders across the business, from the product, go-to-market, technology, and commercial, to understand and analyze operational gaps and develop strategies to improve performance
- Support department heads and business owners with analysis and business decisions
- Be a key analytical and cross-functional partner with the ability to identify strategic needs, synthesize complex problems into clear solutions, and use analysis to drive strategic priorities to successful completion
- Advance the insight and understanding of business KPIs to drive alignment and accountability across the company
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or other relevant field, or a minimum of 7 years in FP&A is required, CPA or MBA preferred but not required
- 10+ years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Consulting, and Managing a team
- Advanced Excel skills including modeling and data analysis capabilities; proven success in building financial/forecasting models.
- Ability to understand and tell a story from a company’s financial statements and analysis.
- Very comfortable with Powerpoint, Word, and presenting in front of stakeholders
- Ability to think and work independently, approaching problems with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong analytical background with experience in financial modeling and comfort around working with numbers.
- Organized, and able to multi-task and perform in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented, with a great sense of ownership around the work that is being done.

Work Environment
Work takes place in an office setting. This job may require working more than 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours a week. It requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
of time and communicate effectively with a diverse audience in person, by phone and by computer. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift, push, and carry up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 15 lbs occasionally.
The pay range for this role is: $179,000 - $221,000 if performed in either our San Francisco, CA or Portland, OR corporate office. This role can also be performed remotely. The pay range for this position is $161,000 - $199,000, if performed outside of our two corporate offices.
Allbirds routinely evaluates pay rates, and the ranges are subject to change based on market rates and other considerations. We factor in a number of components when determining starting pay, including the job and level you are hired into, location, skillset, experience, and peer compensation.
